  • 2 pound ham slice (sliced 1-inch thick)
  • 1 cup tomatoes (canned)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Pepper, dash

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large shallow dish, add pepper and flour and mix.

  • Step 2: In covered skillet melt butter, add onions, cook until onions are carmelized.

  • Step 3: Remove from pan.

  • Step 4: Dredge ham steak in flour mixture.

  • Step 5: Brown ham steak in skillet.

  • Step 6: Add the caramelized onions and tomatoes.

  • Step 7: Cover and simmer on low for 1/2 an hour.

  • Step 8: Check often to ensure there is enough liquid.
