  • 36 ounces pork loin chops (6 chops 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 yellow onion (sliced)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoons pepper
  • 1 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 6 cups water
  • FOR DUMPLINGS
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 cups instant potato flakes
  • 5 cups water

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large stock pot, melt butter. Season pork chops on both sides.

  • Step 2: Add onion slices. Brown.

  • Step 3: Add enough water to cover pork chops (water should be brown). Bring a boil.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile, in a large bowl mix dumplings. Knead on floured board 10 minutes. Make a oval shape and dust with flour. Place on top of pork chops then cover with water.

  • Step 5: Cover pot and simmer 1 hour .

  • Step 6: Uncover and simmer 15 more adding water as needed.
