Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 whole banana
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella, or other chocolate hazelnut) spread
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar (soft)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon self-rising flour
  • TO SERVE
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread (extra)
  • 1 teaspoon hazelnuts, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mash half the banana with a fork in the bottom of a large heatproof mug.

  • Step 2: Mix in the chocolate hazelnut spread, egg, vanilla, oil, sugar, flour and a pinch of salt.

  • Step 3: When well combined, microwave on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds until risen and cooked through.

  • Step 4: Serve topped with a blob of chocolate hazelnut spread, sliced banana and a few chopped hazelnut, if you like and eat straight away.
