Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cauliflower head
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Meatloaf
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup yellow onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, dash
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tomato slices (large beefsteak)
  • Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (sharp)
  • 1 cup evaporated milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Parboil lightly cauliflower with lemon juice.

  • Step 2: Season lightly.

  • Step 3: Mix everything else but tomatoes, cheese, flour and milk.

  • Step 4: Form into a doughnut shape then place into the casserole pan.

  • Step 5: Dry off cauliflower.

  • Step 6: Put in center of meatloaf.

  • Step 7: Put tomatoes in ring around cauliflower.

  • Step 8: Mix cheese, flour and milk.

  • Step 9: Season lightly.

  • Step 10: Pour over cauliflower.

  • Step 11: Bake covered, for 45 minutes.

  • Step 12: Uncover, bake 15 minutes more or until done.
