Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 packet (500 gram) gnocchi (fresh)
  • 225 grams bacon, diced (1 cup)
  • 1 jar (490 gram ) pasta sauce (carbonara)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (crumbled, fresh)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Mixed salad leaves, to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook gnocchi according to packet directions, until tender and then drain well.

  • Step 2: Heat a lightly oiled, medium, ovenproof frying pan (26cm x 5cm deep) over a medium to high heat and add bacon and cook, stirring for about 4 minutes, or until crisp.

  • Step 3: Stir in pasta sauce and mustard and bring to a boil and add gnocchi and some of the parsley and stir to coat.

  • Step 4: Dollop ricotta over the top and sprinkle with parmesan.

  • Step 5: Transfer frying pan to oven and cook in a hot oven (200C) forabout 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

  • Step 6: Remove and garnish the bake with extra pars,.ey and serve with salad leaves.
