Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (if you a garlic lover use more)
  • 3 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (more to season at the end of cooking)
  • Cayenne pepper, pinch
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (33-35%, or for a thinner sauce use 1 1/2 cups heavy cream and 1/2 cup half and half cream, or heavy cream and full-fat milk)
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (can use more)
  • Salt or seasoned salt (to salt, I use seasoned salt)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (lightly-packed, or Kraft 4-Cheese Italiano blend)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat until sizzling.

  • Step 2: Add in garlic; cook stirring constantly for 2 minutes (do not allow the garlic to burn).

  • Step 3: Add in flour, black pepper and cayenne pepper; stir for 1 minute.

  • Step 4: Add in the whipping cream; bring to a light simmer stirring, then simmer for about 2 minutes (careful the cream does not boil over the pot remove from element if it boils to high).

  • Step 5: Reduce the heat to low; stir in the Parmesan cheese and shredded cheese; cook lowest heat stirring for about 2 minutes, then season with more salt and pepper if needed.

  • Step 6: This sauce is best when served immediately.
