Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup water, cold
  • 4 whole bananas (peeled and cut on diagonal into 1/2 inch thick pieces)
  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
  • Powdered sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl whisk together first 5 ingredients (-baking powder) and then whisk in 1/2 cup cold water. Add wanna slices and stir to coat.

  • Step 2: Pour enough into a large saucepan to reach a depth of 1-1/2 inches and attach a deep fry thermometer to side of and heat oil to 350 degrees F. Working in batches add 3 or 4 banana slices to oil and cook until golden brown (under 5 minutes). Using a slotted spoon transfers fritters to paper towels to drain. Sift powdered sugar over bananas. Serve with ice cream if desired.
