Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 5 pound pork shoulder roast
  • 3 yellow onions (sliced)
  • 1 cup water
  • FOR RUB
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 1 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons caraway
  • 2 cloves garlic (smashed with back of a spoon)
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put onions in bottom of roasting pan. Place roast on top.

  • Step 2: Mix the rub ingredients together, then rub into the meat.

  • Step 3: Pour water into onions

  • Step 4: Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 3 hours until done.
