Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 whole (5 pound) chicken
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 138 grams carrots, whole (3 carrots, chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 4 cloves garlic (smashed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound dry egg noodles

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large stock lot put all ingredients except for the egg noodles. On high bring to a rolling boil. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes.

  • Step 2: Remove chicken, debone, chop and place back in soup. Simmer for 15 more minutes. Serve.
