Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 2: First, peel and quarter the peaches. (Scoring an X on the end of the peach and blanching them briefly makes peeling very easy.)
Step 3: Open the crescent rolls and separate them into triangles. Roll up a peach slice in one crescent triangle, starting with the wide end of the triangle. Lay the peach slice in a lightly greased 13 by 9 baking dish. Repeat with remaining peaches and crescents.
Step 4: Melt the butter. Mix the melted butter with the cinnamon and sugar. Drizzle the butter-sugar mixture all over the peaches.
Step 5: Pour Mountain Dew over the dumplings.
Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes, or golden brown and bubbly.
Step 7: If you are feeling over the top, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
