Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pound whole squash (1 acorn squash, washed, cut in half, seeds removed)
  • 2 teaspoons butter (or margarine)
  • 3 teaspoons ginger root (fresh, peeled, chopped)
  • 4 tablespoon orange juice (fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons honey

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 375f.

  • Step 2: Divide the ingredients (butter, ginger, orange juice, zest & honey) add to the hollows of each half squash.

  • Step 3: Place in preheated oven, covered

  • Step 4: Remove cover after 30 minutes.

  • Step 5: Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the squash is soft.

  • Step 6: Mash the squash flesh inside the shell with the added ingredients.

  • Step 7: Serve in the shell.
