Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped (pieces)
  • 1 cup white chocolate bits
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose plain (flour)
  • 100 grams unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 800 grams apples (6 Gala apples, cored and thinly sliced)
  • Cream or ice cream, to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C or 160C fan forced.

  • Step 2: Toss apples together with caster sugar and place in a medium baking dish.

  • Step 3: To make the crumble topping, combine pecans, chocolate bits, oats, brown sugar and flour in a bowl and then add the butter and using fingertips, rub in until combined and then sprinkle crumble topping over the apples.

  • Step 4: Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until apples are tender, crumble crisp and serve with cream or ice cream.
