Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C or 160C fan forced.
Step 2: Toss apples together with caster sugar and place in a medium baking dish.
Step 3: To make the crumble topping, combine pecans, chocolate bits, oats, brown sugar and flour in a bowl and then add the butter and using fingertips, rub in until combined and then sprinkle crumble topping over the apples.
Step 4: Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until apples are tender, crumble crisp and serve with cream or ice cream.
