Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Melt 1 stick butter in a baking pan (9 x 13").
Step 3: Add chicken to pan, turn to coat. and bake for 30 minutes.
Step 4: While chicken is cooking, melt the remaining butter (the second stick) with the barbecue sauce and beer in saucepan over medium high heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Step 5: Preheat broiler or prepare barbecue.
Step 6: Arrange chicken skin-side down on broiler pan rack or on grill and cook, turning and basting frequently until chicken is cooker (20 minutes on a broiler or 30 minutes on the grill).
Step 7: Dip chicken in sauce again and place on serving plate and serve with remaining sauce.
