Step 1: Core the cabbage and place in a large pot of boiling water, peel off leaves as the cabbage cooks and let the leaves cook until just soft ( 2 or 3 minutes)- remove the leaves and set aside.
Step 2: In a very large pot, mix all of the sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer.
Step 3: Mix the stuffing ingredients and place about 1/2 cup of stuffing into each leaf ( use the biggest leaves) , roll up then fold over and tuck in the ends.
Step 4: Chop up any of the leftover cabbage and place into the simmering sauce.
Step 5: Put the rolls into the sauce and let simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally ( make sure the bottom doesnt burn)- you also may put the pot of cabbage into the oven and bake at 325F.
