Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef (the original recipe said venison could be used)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all purpose flour( self rising would also work for this)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables( or leftovers would work too)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat add onion ,ground beef, and all seasonings then cook until meat is well browned and onion is soft.

  • Step 2: Drain if needed and return to skillet.

  • Step 3: Add flour and water to beef, stir continually until thickened.

  • Step 4: At this time add frozen vegetables, stir until vegetables are heated through.

  • Step 5: Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or even noodles
