Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 3/8 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3/8 cup water
  • 1 orange zested (you can use a bit less if you don't like a strong orange taste)
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon grated fresh ginger (more or less to taste)
  • Nuts (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauce ... Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to a light boil. Reduce to medium low and simmer 15-20 minutes until the cranberries begin to pop. Cook another 1-2 minutes then remove from the heat to cool.

  • Step 2: Serve and Enjoy ... With of course Thanksgiving dinner, but it is also a nice condiment to a cheese ravioli, add to white wine for a wonderful sauce over chicken or pork, and of course spread on sandwiches.
