Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.
Step 2: Break off tough ends of asparagus. Place asparagus on a large place and drizzle with olive oil (use as much oil as you like) then sprinkle the zest over asparagus; toss to coat. Arrange asparagus in a single layer on greased baking sheet.
Step 3: Oven roast until tender (about 15-18 minutes) shaking baking sheet once or twice during cooking time. Season asparagus with salt pepper and sprinkle with lemon juice just before serving.
