Step 1: Toss apples with self raising flour and sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
Step 2: Melt butter or margarine in a small saucepan on the stove top or in a small bowl in the microwave and then stir in the egg.
Step 3: Pour butter and egg into the apple mixture and mix until combined.
Step 4: Spooned into a greased and lined slice tine.
Step 5: Bake at 180C for 35 to 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the middle comes out clean.
Step 6: Will keep for up to 3 days in an air tight container.
Step 7: If you want a more cake-y texture and less crumbly add a bit of milk to the mixture.
