Step 1: Preheat oven to 180C or 160C fan forced.
Step 2: Line an 18 holes of 2 x 12 hole medium muffin tins with paper cases.
Step 3: Sift flour and cinnamon into a large bowl, and stir in bran and brown sugar and make a well in the centre.
Step 4: Whisk together apple sauce, eggs, vanilla and milk in a large jug and pour into the dry ingredients and fold together until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in blueberries and walnuts and then divide mixture between cases, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and springy to a gentle touch.
Step 6: Stand in the tins for 2 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool and then dust with icing sugar before serving.
