Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 thick (300 grams) pork sausages (butterflied)
  • 4 split (228 grams) English muffins
  • 1/3 cup pickles ( Branston pickles, plus 1/2 cup extra, to serve)
  • 125 grams grated cheddar cheese (vintage)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat a small frying pan over moderate heat and cook sausages for 3 minutes each side or until cooked.

  • Step 2: Preheat a sandwich press.

  • Step 3: For each toastie, place muffin base on a clean work surface and spread with a quarter of the pickles, top with a sausage, a quarter of the cheese and a sprinkle of parsley and top with remaining muffin top and repeat to make 4 in total.

  • Step 4: Cook in sandwich press in batches, for 3 minutes or until heated and toasted.

  • Step 5: Cut in half and serve with extra pickles.
