Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoon oil (vegetable or olive oil)
  • 285 grams hash browns (4)
  • 120 grams bacon (4 rashers, rind removed)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 split (150 grams) bread buns (4 hamburger buns)
  • 30 grams butter (at room temperature)
  • 4 slices (120 grams) cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce (or barbecue sauce)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a frying pan over moderate heat and add hash browns and cook for 3 minutes each side or until golden and crisp and then drain on paper towel.

  • Step 2: Add bacon to pan, for 3 minutes each side or until golden and crisp.

  • Step 3: Crack eggs into pan and cook for 4 minutes or until cooked to your liking.

  • Step 4: Preheat a sandwich press.

  • Step 5: Butter both sides of buns with butter and then top bun bases with cheese, bacon, and egg and a hash brown and top with tomato sauce or barbecue sauce and top with bun top and then repeat to make 4 in total.

  • Step 6: Cook in sandwich press, in batches, for 3 minutes or until heated and toasted.
