Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (32 ounce) frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (very lean)
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning mix (or 2 Tbsp homemade taco seasoning)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or a good melting Cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • 1/3 cup sliced black olives
  • 2/3 cup avocado (ripe & diced)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (fresh)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Prepare tater tots according to package directions. They should be nicely browned & a bit crisp is good too.

  • Step 2: While they're baking, cook the ground beef w/a pkg of taco seasoning until beef is browned & cooked through. Set aside.

  • Step 3: Once tots are done cooking, remove from the oven (but keep oven on). Top w/cooked beef & cheese. Pop back in the oven until cheese is fully melted.

  • Step 4: Remove from the oven & top w/the remaining ingredients of choice or serve them bar-style in separate dishes.
