Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces egg noodles (wide)
  • 16 ounces ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook noodles in boiling salted water per package directions. Rinse and drain.

  • Step 2: Brown ground beef, drain grease and return to pan. Add to meat salt, pepper, garlic and tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Step 3: While meat is cooking, combine cottage cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions and noodles.

  • Step 4: Spray a 2 quart casserole with cooking spray. Then put half of the noodle mixture, next half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers (noodles then meat).

  • Step 5: Top with shredded cheese.

  • Step 6: Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  • Step 7: MAKE AHEAD: This recipe can be made the day before. Before heating, bring to room temperature.
