Step 1: Place egg whites in a mixing bowl. Let stand at room temp for 30 min. Beat on med speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar (1 Tbsp at a time) on high until stiff glossy peaks form and the sugar is dissolved. Fold in the walnuts, cherries and chocolate chips.
Step 2: Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 300° for 20-30 min or until lightly browned and firm to the touch. Remove to wire racks to fully cool. May be stored in an airtight container
