Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 240 grams dry rice (dry 1 1/2 cups long grain brown )
  • 2 3/4 cups water ( or 2 3⁄4 cups vegetable stock)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/4 cup minced lemon (preserved lemon, garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat the rice cooker bowl with Pam.

  • Step 2: Place rice in the rice bowl and add teh water, salt, pepper, coriander and cardamom. Close the cover and set the Brown rice cycle.

  • Step 3: When the machine switches to keep warm, add the butter. Close teh cover and let the rice steam for 10 minutes.

  • Step 4: Fluff rice.

  • Step 5: Serve hot, sprinkled with a bit of the preserved lemon.
