Step 1: Combine the turmeric, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg. cinnamon, star anise, fennel and vanilla in a medium saucepan and season with pepper and then stir in milk and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Step 2: Set aside for 5 minutes to infuse and then strain through a fine sieve into mugs or serving glasses and serve immediately.
