Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon stick (or quill)
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds (crushed)
  • 1 teaspoon bean paste (vanilla)
  • 500 ml milk (or can use soy or almond milk, 2 cups)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the turmeric, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg. cinnamon, star anise, fennel and vanilla in a medium saucepan and season with pepper and then stir in milk and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Set aside for 5 minutes to infuse and then strain through a fine sieve into mugs or serving glasses and serve immediately.
