Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 375 grams dried linguine pasta
  • 350 grams broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind
  • 300 ml thickened cream (light, for cooking)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 can (415 gram) red salmon (skin and bones removed and flaked into large chunks)
  • 2 tablespoon dill, chopped (plus extra to serve)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta, following packet directions, adding broccoli for the last 3 minutes of cooking time and then drain BUT reserving 1/3 cup of cooking liquid.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over medium heat and add onion, garlic and lemon rind and cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant and then add cream and lemon juice and stir to combine.

  • Step 3: Bring to a simmer and add salmon, dill, reserved cooking liquid and pasta mixture and cook, tossing over a low heat for 2 minutes or until heated through and thickened slightly and season with salt and pepper and serve topped with extra dill.
