Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (397 gram) box frozen puff pastry, defrosted
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, (enough to create thick layer of sugar on pastry board)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, optional

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425° Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle a thick layer of sugar on a pastry board.

  • Step 3: Place puff pastry on top of sugar and, using a rolling pin, roll into a neat oblong. (Sprinkle pastry with cinnamon, if using, now)

  • Step 4: Fold one long side of puff pastry inward, like a jellyroll, stopping at the centre.

  • Step 5: Repeat on the other side. The 2 sides will meet in the centre.

  • Step 6: Cut into 1/4 inch slices and press each slice into sugar.

  • Step 7: Place slices on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  • Step 8: Bake for 6 to 8 minutes.

  • Step 9: Turn over and bake for another 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.
