Step 1: Preheat an oven grill on high.
Step 2: Grease a 2 litre (8 cup) ovenproof dish.
Step 3: Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8 minutes or until tender and drain.
Step 4: Combine cream cheese, milk and mustard in a large saucepan over moderat heat, cook and stir for 3 minutes or until mixture comes to the boil and then add pasta, cheese, ham and chives and mix well and then spoon into prepared dish and level surface.
Step 5: Place breadcrumbs, extra cheese and margarine in a bowl, mix well and sprinkle mixture evenly over the pasta.
Step 6: Place under the grill/broiler and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 7: Serve sprinkled with extra chives (if using)
