Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 18 cups popcorn (cooked, about 3 bags of microwave popcorn, popped)
  • Optional: 1 cup peanuts
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the popcorn (and peanuts, if using) in a large bowl. Set aside. Have a wooden spoon handy.

  • Step 2: Place the condensed milk, brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a large, heavy saucepan. Add a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage, 235 degrees F.

  • Tip: if you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test by dropping a little of the mixture in a cup of cold water. If it forms a soft ball, it's done!

  • Step 3: Pour over the popcorn and mix with a wooden spoon until everything is evenly coated.

  • Step 4: Eat as is or form into balls. Store any leftovers (really???) in a covered container.
