Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal Steak Spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped red bell pepper (or green sweet pepper or mixed red & green, coarsely chopped)
  • 5 tablespoons steak sauce (your favorite, like Heinz 57)
  • 3 ounces Monterey Jack cheese (3 slices, pepper cheese)
  • 5 ounces bread buns (3 onion burger buns, split, buttered and pan toasted)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Lightly mix the ground beef. with the Montreal steak spice & Worchestershire.

  • Step 2: Form into 3 patties, set aside.

  • Step 3: Add onion & peppers to a lightly oiled large fry pan. Stir fry for 4 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add steak sauce, heat, remove from pan, set aside in a small bowl.

  • Step 5: Fry your burger patties for apptx. 5 minutes each side or done to your liking.

  • Step 6: Heat your broiler.

  • Step 7: Spread mustard (if you are using) on your toasted (fried) buns on one side.

  • Step 8: Place burger pattie on the bottom half of the bun.

  • Step 9: Top with the pepper/onion/steak sauce mixture. Place cheese on top.

  • Step 10: Place under broiler until cheese melts (only takes a couple of minutes).

  • Step 11: Remove from oven top with your other favorite condiments.

  • Step 12: Place the top half bun on top.

  • Step 13: And enjoy.
