Step 1: Preheat oven to 350'.
Step 2: Beat the butter and sugars together until creamy.
Step 3: Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Step 4: Add the combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix well.
Step 5: Stir in the oats and raisins and mix well. The dough will be too stiff for an electric mixer.
Step 6: Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 7: Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8: Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
Step 9: Remove to wire rack.
