  • 6 ounces sliced bacon (thick cut, 6 slices)
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 can (48 ounce) pork and beans (or use small cans to equal 48 ounces)
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1/2 cup light molasses (or to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • Step 1: In skillet over low heat saute bacon until lightly cooked, remove and set aside
