Step 1: Heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic; cook for about 30 seconds (do not burn garlic).
Step 2: Add tomatoes and their juices, anchovy, capers and olives, lower heat to a simmer, cooking gently for about 20 minutes.
Step 3: While sauce is simmering, cook pasta in boiling, salted water according to package instructions.
Step 4: Drain pasta; toss pasta and basil with the sauce.
Step 5: Serve immediately with grated cheese.
