Step 1: Bring a large frying pan of water to the boil over a high heat and add aspargus and cook for 2 minutes or until just tender, drain and transfer to a bowl of iced water, then drain well again and dry with some papper towel.
Step 2: Wrap a slice of pancetta arond each asparagus spear.
Step 3: Heat oil in a separate large frying pan over a medium heat and add wrapped aspargus spears and cook for 4 minutes or until browned on all side.
Step 4: Transfer to a serving plate and season with freshly ground black pepper and serve.
