Step 1: Combine sugar and butter in a large skillet and heat to boiling, stirring constantly
Step 2: Boil over medium heat until mixture caramelizes and thickens, about 10 minutes
Step 3: Remove from heat
Step 4: Stir in corn puffs until well coated
Step 5: Pour mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet and spread to 1/4 inch thick
Step 6: Let cool then break into pieces
