  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 ounces semisweet chocolate (pieces, 1/2 of a 6 ounce package)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Butter square 9x9x2 pan.

  • Step 2: Spread pecans in pan.

  • Step 3: Heat sugar and butter to boiling. Boil over medium heat 7 minutes, stirring constantly.

  • Step 4: Immediately spread mixture over nuts in pan.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle chocolate pieces over hot mixture, and place a baking sheet over the pan to lock in heat, melting the chocolate.

  • Step 6: Spread melted chocolate over candy.

  • Step 7: While warm cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.

  • Step 8: Chill till firm.
