Step 1: Butter square 9x9x2 pan.
Step 2: Spread pecans in pan.
Step 3: Heat sugar and butter to boiling. Boil over medium heat 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 4: Immediately spread mixture over nuts in pan.
Step 5: Sprinkle chocolate pieces over hot mixture, and place a baking sheet over the pan to lock in heat, melting the chocolate.
Step 6: Spread melted chocolate over candy.
Step 7: While warm cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
Step 8: Chill till firm.
