  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, cold
  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 400°F.

  • Step 2: In large bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and the salt.

  • Step 3: Cut in butter, using pastry blender or fork, until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

  • Step 4: Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla (mixture will be crumbly).

  • Step 5: Using hands, shape dough into 1-inch balls.

  • Step 6: On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 1 inch apart.

  • Step 7: Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until set but not brown.

  • Step 8: Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool slightly, about 20 minutes.

  • Step 9: In small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

  • Step 10: Roll cookies in sugar mixture, shaking off excess back into bowl.

  • Step 11: Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
