Step 5: Cover and chill 8 hours
Step 6: Heat oven to 400
Step 7: Roll small portion of dough at a time to 1/4 inch thick, keeping remaining dough chilled
Step 8: Cut dough into 2 inch circles, rounding up the center a bit, and place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet
Step 9: Decorate cookies by placing almond halves around cookie, like spokes, and a candied cherry in the center
Step 10: Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly
Step 11: To make glaze, heat sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook till candy thermometer reads 230. Remove from heat and stir in icing sugar
Step 12: Brush glaze over cookies
