  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, Packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups peanuts, salted (chopped)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375.

  • Step 2: Cream shortening, butter, and sugars.

  • Step 3: Add in eggs and vanilla.

  • Step 4: Stir in remaining ingredients.

  • Step 5: Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of a cup that has been greased lightly, and dipped in sugar

  • Step 6: Bake 8-10 minutes (till light brown).

  • Step 7: Let cool slightly before removing from sheet.
