Step 1: Beat eggs and sugar until thick and lemon colored.
Step 2: Mix in flour. If dough is dry, add 3 tablespoons milk, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Step 3: Cover and chill 2 hours.
Step 4: Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface.
Step 5: Press well floured Springerle mold onto dough to emboss designs.
Step 6: Cut out cookies and sprinkle with anise seed.
Step 7: Let stand 10 hours to dry.
Step 8: Heat oven to 325.
Step 9: Place cookies 1/2 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Step 10: Bake 12-15 minutes or until light brown.
Step 11: Immediately remove from baking sheet.
