  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Milk chocolate, melted
  • 3/4 cup peanuts, salted (finely chopped)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine shortening, ,peanut butter, sugars, and egg.

  • Step 2: Blend in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

  • Step 3: Cover and chill 1 hour.

  • Step 4: Heat oven to 375.

  • Step 5: Using a star plate in cookie press, form 2 1/2 inch fingers on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  • Step 6: Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until set.

  • Step 7: Once cookies are cool, dip one end in melted chocolate, and then in chopped peanuts.
