Step 1: Thoroughly mix butter, sugar, and egg.
Step 2: Add flour, cocoa, and salt. Mix well.
Step 3: Divide dough in half and shape into roll 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll in nuts
Step 4: Wrap each roll and refrigerate 8 hours.
Step 5: Heat oven to 400.
Step 6: Cut rolls into 1/8 inch slices (if dough crumbles when slicing, let warm slightly.
Step 7: Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes.
Step 8: Immediately remove from baking sheet.
Step 9: To make Icing combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Boil 1 minute then remove from heat and place pan in a bowl of ice water. Beat until frosting is thick and cold, add Vanilla.
Step 10: Frost cookies.
