Step 1: Thoroughly mix butter, sugar, and egg.
Step 2: Add flour, and salt. Mix well.
Step 3: Divide dough in half and mix cocoa into one portion of the dough.
Step 4: Chill 1 hour.
Step 5: On a lightly floured, cloth covered surface, roll plain dough out into a 16x9 inch rectangle. Repeat with chocolate dough and place chocolate dough on top of plain dough.
Step 6: Roll up tightly into a log, wrap and chill 8 hours.
Step 7: Heat oven to 400.
Step 8: Cut rolls into 1/8 inch slices (if dough crumbles when slicing, let warm slightly.
Step 9: Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Step 10: Bake 8 minutes.
Step 11: Immediately remove from baking sheet.
