Step 1: Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, egg, chocolate, buttermilk, and vanilla.
Step 2: Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, and nuts. Chill 1 hour.
Step 3: Preheat oven to 400.
Step 4: To make icing: melt 2 chocolate with butter over low heat. Remove from heat and add in water and 2 cups icing sugar. Mix well.
Step 5: Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Step 6: Bake 10 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched with a finger.
Step 7: Immediately remove from baking sheet.
Step 8: Cool and spread with icing.
