How to Make

  • Step 1: Thoroughly mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan. Stir milk into egg yolks and mix well.

  • Step 2: Gradually stir egg mixture into dry ingredients.

  • Step 3: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute

  • Step 4: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

  • Step 5: Cool and use to fill 8 or 9 inch cake.
