Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 375 grams dry fettuccine pasta (curly)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 jar (350 gram) pasta sauce (tomato)
  • 300 ml light cream (cooking cream)
  • 700 grams shrimp (seafood marinara mix or buy seafood you like and make your own mix - fish, prawns, squid or octopus for example)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (1.4 bunch leaves, to garnish)
  • 1 lemon, whole (cut into wedges to serve)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water until cooked al dente and drain.

  • Step 2: Place in a large bowl and cover with boil or a tea towel to keep warm.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over a medium heat and add onion and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally until soft and then add tomato paste and cook stirring for 1 minute and then add wine and bring to the boil.

  • Step 4: Add sauce and cream and return to the boil and then stir in marinara mix and season with salt and pepper and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 4 minutes or until seafood is cooked.

  • Step 5: Stir sauce and seafood through pasta and garnish with parsley leaves and serve with lemon, ensuring seafood is distributed evenly.
