The ingredients are:
  • 2 packages (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup water, warm
  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 1/2 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 24 large (168 grams) marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Dissolve yeast in Warm water.

  • Step 2: Add buttermilk, eggs, 2 1/2 cup flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix till smooth.

  • Step 3: Add enough remaining dough to make dough easily handled. Dough will remain soft and slightly sticky.

  • Step 4: Turn out onto well floured surface and knead 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Divide dough in half and roll each half about 1/4 inch thick.

  • Step 6: Cut into 3 1/2 inch circles.

  • Step 7: Mix cinnamon and sugar.

  • Step 8: Dip Marshmallows in butter and then cinnamon-sugar.

  • Step 9: Wrap each dough circle around a marshmallow, pinching to seal at bottom.

  • Step 10: Dip in butter, then in cinnamon sugar.

  • Step 11: Place in greased muffin tins.

  • Step 12: Let rise until double.

  • Step 13: Bake at 375 20-25 min.
