Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2: Grease and flour two layer pans, 9 or 8 inch pans.
Step 3: Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Pour into prepared baking pan(s).
Step 4: Bake 40 - 45 min for rectangle cake, 30 - 35 for layer cake, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step 5: To make filling, stir together sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan
Step 6: Add water
Step 7: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils
Step 8: Boil and stir 1 minute
Step 9: Remove from heat and stir in butter. Cool
Step 10: For Glaze: Heat all ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted
Step 11: Cool slightly
Step 12: To assemble: Top bottom layer with filling and sprinkle with nuts
Step 13: Top with second layer
Step 14: Spread chocolate glaze over top of cake
