Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup diced onions (white onion)
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 cups cooked rice (converted white rice)
  • 1 cup green peas (frozen, thawed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 cup toasted sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté onions, celery and carrots in butter 5 to 7 minutes or until tender. Stir frequently.

  • Step 2: Add rice, green peas, garlic, seasoned salt and pepper and

  • Step 3: Blend together. Stir gently over medium heat and cook until hot. Once rice is hot, remove and fold in toasted sliced almonds. Garnish with sliced green onions.
